Kindred Farm Rescue is so very pleased to announce that effective May 1, 2017, we will be working with case workers from the Ottawa Children’s Aid Society (CAS) in terms of providing individual and small group sessions to CAS youth, beginning first with an informal pilot project. Should this be successful, it is hoped that the program will be expanded and formalized. The program consists of un-mounted sessions with Liz Tompkins, the farm manager, learning about horse behaviour, handling and herd dynamics. Should there be continued interest in moving forward to mounted lessons, these will be offered by the farm owner, and in-house riding coach, Tanya Boyd. We hope to expand this program to include individuals who would benefit from this program from other support organizations in the local area. Please contact Liz Tompkins directly for further information in this regard at 613-292-5002.
